Ethan had a blast trick or treating in Hyde Park. Every house was really decked out! He went as Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Ethan is a busy individual these days. He went to Galveston with nana and pops a few weekends ago and he is hanging with his daddy this weekend. Things have changed a lot since the last post. The consistent thing is the mama and bear combination...which will always remain steady and strong. Here are a few pictures from Shype Park taken by a friend.

About Sarah the mom: Today I found a sick kitten outside our house and I love him. I took him to the vet this morning and they said that he weighs 1.5 pounds and he is three months old. I have decided to nurse him back to health because he is FIV negative and Feline Lukemia negative...so he cannot infect my other 4 cats! He is so very amazing and sweet. He just lays in my lap and looks at my eyes and subliminally tells me thanks. They gave him fluids this morning. I want to post a picture, but I haven't gotten one that truly captures the tiny-ness(not a word.) I am officially the cat lady. Soon I will be eating fancy feast and watching matlock or Dragnet or Murder She Wrote. I have been writing lots of poetry and music. I am about to record two projects: anabel and purr...we are recording at two different studios here in Austin. I am about to take the State Board exam for massage. I am thinking about going back to school to finish a biology undergrad so I can be a vet in like a million years. Ethan is in Galveston with his nana and pops and his cousin Zachary. Mikey is in Houston visiting his parents this weekend. I am writing music and taking care of the baby cat. Being introspective and enjoying my solitude. Looking at my face and thinking how it's changed from when I was twelve. Listening to Neil Young and Beach House.

Tonight Ethan and I went to the toy store and got a 'tend' doctor's kit.

Two nights ago, Mikey and I were watching "Venus In Furs" when Myrtis decided to be ridiculously adorable. So luckily I had my new camera handy. Ethan was at nana and pop's, so we had to locate ways to keep ourselves occupied!

Thanks to Pops (who's always up for anything), ebear got to swim really really late(like 9:30pm) at nana and pop's house before the long drive to Grapevine!

Grapevine

Well, Ethan had a blast in Grapevine Texas with nana and pops. He got to play with Sienna and Lilly. He ran around like a little crazy man!! He is going to stay with nana and pops in Houston until Tuesday for a visit. Also, Mikey and I are going to see Yo La Tengo :)yay on Monday.

Today, Ethan and I took a trip to Houston to visit Nana and Pops for the night! Tomorrow we're going to welcome uncle Peter home from Iraq and to cuddle and play with Lilly. Nana and Ethan spent the afternoon working and shopping at Target, while I took a much needed snooze! I am proud to say that Ethan picked out fake food as his surprise! Like mother like son.

So today Ethan and I went to central market for some yummy fruit and veggies and we were so excited to see that they had every kind of pumpkin you could possibly find. We ended up with a small multi-colored squash. We took it home and bear said that it needed a face! It was pretty darn small so it wasn't easy, but we managed and Mikey put a little tea light in it. We also found children's bath salt soak in three different herbal scents! Gotta love Central Market. I think the highlight of the nonproductive shopping trip was definately when bear wrapped himself in toilet paper from the bathroom ("does it flush all by itself?"), and pretended to be a pirate. Thanks Pirates of the Carribbean...We also found some sweet sunglasses!
